I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.
In an effort to more fully follow the call for discipleship in Matthew 28, we have evaluated our benevolence program and hope to reach more families in such a way that will make a real difference in their lives. We are called to identify families facing catastrophic loss, major financial setbacks, and life-changing situations. These families--whether hit by floods, fire, or terrible personal losses--are the ones we are dedicated to helping. Currently we have a team of men and women who are ready and willing to assist in whatever way is needed. We seek to make a difference, and part of that process is to teach others about God's love for them and the hope we have in our Savior.
The Food Pantry, which was a small part of the Benevolence program, has been closed because we have noticed that too much donated food passes its expiration date before we can share it.
We are always looking for willing workers to move this program forward and hope you will consider a personal involvement.
