PRAISE THE LORD!
The first three months of the year the Lord has blessed us beyond measure so we lift our voices up and shout
PRAISE THE LORD!

BATAM CHURCH OF CHRIST
We have seen the Lord blessing us by the addition of another teacher / evangelist to the staff of the Batam church of Christ. Brother Ferdinand Manadu was chosen by the congregation as one of their full-time servants and appointed as a teacher of the church on March 14, 2004. He was baptized in 1996 and graduated from the Batam Bible College in 1993. He has served the church faithfully these many years and the church has now selected him as one of their full-time servants. The Picture show Winton Bolt giving the Charge of Service to brother Ferdinand while fellow servants of the Lord Brothers Herbin, Mail, and Salamo look on. Brother Ferdinand is the second full-time minister that the church in Batam has selected. However the church in Batam has also sent out five men as full-time missionaries to preach the gospel in Solo, Central Java and Duri, Sumatera.

BATAM BIBLE COLLEGE
Our deepest thanks go out to the Lord and to Mike and Kim Walker for their generous donation of $7000 for the Batam Bible College building. This amount of money allowed us to make the payment that was due on the first of March.

We are praying for others to open their hearts to this work of faith to make the final payment to the contractor of $8920.00. This is due at the end of April so please send in your gift as soon as possible.

We took possession of the building and during the ceremony the contractor passed us the certificate of completion and all the keys. I could only say thank you Lord as nine months ago I left for America with only my faith to raise the funds for this building and now the Lord has made it a reality. I praise the Lord for all of you who have contributed to the building of the BATAM BIBLE COLLEGE. THANK YOU!

Madigan Avenue church of Christ – 463 Madigan Avenue – Morgantown, WV 26501.

Brother Charles Cook a Sunset International Bible Institute instructor was with us this last month teaching the book of Romans. Brother Charles brought his power point projector with him and his presentation of Romans was truly mind opening for the students. Thank you brother Charles for your insight into the word of God and your faithfulness in bringing it to the Singapore and Indonesia.

MISSION TO SOLO, CENTRAL JAVA
The mission team that was sent out by the Batam church of Christ is making great headway in the heartland of the island of Java where over 100 million souls live. The mission team was formed in late 2002 and has now planted five congregation in Central Java to go along with the previous three that were started there by brother Yonathan Suparso. The first two were in the city of Solo and now they have planted three more in the cities of Wonogiri, Purworejo, and Wonosobo with plans to expand to at least another four major cities in the province.

These new congregations are a result of three denominational preachers being converted and studying with brother Yonathan Suparso from January until March. When I arrived in late March they asked me to come and visit their cities and preach the gospel to their local churches. I was able to visit two of the areas where they lived and we baptized fourteen souls into the body of Christ. The picture shows group of twelve at Purworejo studying and nine of them were baptized that day. They will now begin to worship as the church of Christ. The next picture show the result of our visit to the city of Wonosobo where we baptized three from around twenty that attended the class and they have now all decided to follow the teachings of the church of Christ. The team also went to Wonogiri after I had to return to Batam and baptized another four and will hold their first worship service on April 5, 2004. There were an additional two men baptized in Solo on Sunday.

1.Men trained in Solo - these three men were baptized by the mission team in Solo, they were previously denominational preachers and teachers. They were trained for two months by the mission team in Solo and then sent home. (They plan to attend Batam Bible College next year).

2. nine out of the twelve shown in the picture were baptized this day after hearing the gospel of Christ proclaimed. The church was planted this day in Purworejo, Central Java. My camera battery died so I was unable to take a picture of the baptisms.

3. picture shows an entire family from Grandmother, Mother, Children and Grandchildren professing their faith in Christ. He and the entire household were baptized.

4. This is the mother and two children who were baptized at Wonosobo Central Java. Another twenty people heard the gospel preached and the mission team will be following up with them to plant the church there.

PERSONAL
I was blessed in acquiring my permanent residency for Indonesia this last month. This means that I can stay here until the Lord calls me home. Lord willing I will be able to witness the fruition of my labors in that the church will be planted in every province and major city in the country. PRAISE THE LORD!

We continue to plan to build a church building in Batam and to plant the church through out all of Indonesia. However we can’t do these things alone, we need your help in prayers and support for the work. It cost me personally this last month over $800.00 to plant a new church in Central Java but that is a small price to pay. However I just can’t afford to continue to do it by myself. Please help by contributing to our work fund and scholarship fund for the students. Right now we have about one half of what is needed to pay for the cost of operating the school until the students return home in August. We need your help to continue praising the Lord. God Bless

Your servant in Christ
